How to get started with POS display design
Designing POS displays in house can be done in a number of ways. Some companies use ordinary CAD software, some companies spend a lot of time and do it in applications as Adobe® Illustrator®. The challenge is to work around the lack of packaging CAD functionality.

Point of Sale Concept Design
From a basic requirement brief from our client, we can produce creative concept visuals, that can deliver design options for a project to enable our clients to refine the brief and select preferred options through the 3D CAD that we will produce. This is often an interactive process that we have with our customers.
Utilising the latest version of Solid Works, we can engineer your concept and create a precision 3D CAD model on screen which is used to virtually check dimensions and fits data is then used to virtually check the dimensions, this data is then used to create prototypes, manufacturing tooling and patterns where required.
Prototyping 3D Print
Our Prototyping capabilities include state of the art 3D printing machines, this process is extremely accurate 16micron layers which is less thickness than the human hair. This ensures that our prototypes are virtually identical to the final product. We currently have for 3D printing machines.
Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM)
We additionally have two FDM rapid prototype machines in our prototyping laboratory, these machines are ideal for the rapid assessment of the point of sale concept and design as well as the physical prototyping for client assessment.
The Process of vacuum casting allows cost effective multiple point of sale prototype and pre-production products to be produced, this process uses silicon moulds created from the master samples from our 3D printer or FDM machines.
To complement our high tech prototyping capabilities we can create hand built fabricated point of sale display prototypes and models utilising traditional methods. Additionally we can prototype semi-permanent and temporary point of sale using our advanced CNC cutting machine.
